We deeply value accessibility and equity.

Equity, access and community care are core values of Flow Acupuncture, especially for those of us who have historically been on the margins of healthcare: QTBIPOC, Disabled, Poor/Working Class, etc.

Payment options that support these values:

1. We are an out-of-network provider for acupuncture. If you have out-of-network benefits, let us know! You pay Flow the full cost of treatment, we provide you with Superbill, and you get reimbursed by your provider. This helps offset the cost of care. By staying out-of-network, we are able to offer care that is intentional, deeper, and more responsive to your individual needs.

2. We offer a sliding scale for our services, except for remote-style treatments. Read more about this below.

3. We also offer community-style sessions to create even more financial access.

4. Acupuncture is a service that is fully covered via an FSA or HSA account.

How the sliding scale works: (sliding scale does not apply to our remote sessions)

• After your first individual acupuncture or individual reiki session, a sliding scale (below) is available on an as needed basis.

• The sliding scale is based on your level of access to resources. Should you need to make use of the scale, please honestly reflect on your financial capacity and consider a rate that works for you (use the guide below as a reference).

• Please note: if you are coming in 1-2 times per month, we encourage use of Tier 3, the higher end of the scale, whenever possible. Tier 3 subsidizes the lower end and makes it possible for us to offer free and low-cost acupuncture to the community.

• If you make use of the sliding scale, please communicate any adjustments you may need to make to your fee as your circumstances change (e.g. when our treatment frequency decreases, consider increasing your payment toward the true cost of treatment; if your monthly income changes in either direction, communicate what is feasible).

No one will be turned away because of financial capacity, as long as you are committed to your care plan.

Payments can be made via cash, checks made payable to "Flow Acupuncture," credit/debit card, FSA/HSA cards, or via Zelle henaz@flowheals.com. All credit card payments will have 3% transaction fee applied.

Accessibility:

We encourage folks to share access needs prior to their visit in our intake forms. This helps us to offer care in more responsive and community-centered ways. They are anything a person might need in order to fully participate in a space or session, ranging from emotional to physical needs.

Note: Please know that there are currently 3 steps to enter Flow. Upon entering, the first floor, including bathroom and treatment rooms are fully accessible.

We recognize that our entry is a physical barrier to care for anyone who cannot access steps. If you are someone whose access needs are not met because of the outdoor steps or in any other way, please know that we are committed to offering Remote Acupuncture and Reiki treatments to you from the comfort of your own home.
